There is big news Dylan and Cole are coming out with a new book series. It will be sort of like Mary-Kate and Ashleys book series from when the were younger. Dylan and Cole are not going to be detectives like the olsen twins, they are going to be spys like young James bonds. The book series should come out some time this year.

It’s not everyday that you get to meet your favorite television stars in person. For one extraordinary little girl from Plymouth, Michigan, that day came and she was ready! Ten-year-old Alexandria couldn’t believe it when she got her wish to meet 14-year-old tween heartthrobs, Cole and Dylan Sprouse. It was made possible by the Kids Wish Network, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
Alexandria’s adventure to Los Angeles to meet the stars of Disney’s popular show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, began when her mother, Angela, learned about Kids Wish Network from a close family relative. Alexandria had been through a great deal in her young life and Angela was hopeful that her courageous daughter would qualify for a wish with the charity.
Alexandria was diagnosed at two-years-old with a heart condition known as restrictive cardiomyopathy. Restrictive cardiomyopathy refers to a group of disorders in which the heart chambers are unable to fill with blood properly. In addition, Alexandria suffers from pulmonary hypertension and recently underwent a heart transplant. Since her transplant, she must visit her doctors frequently and have a heart biopsy once a month so they can be sure that her body doesn’t reject her new heart. Alexandria also has severe scoliosis and has had a number of back surgeries.
After submitting Alexandria’s name to Kids Wish Network and completing the application process, Angela was later delighted to learn that her special daughter had been approved for a wish. A huge fan of Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Alexandria knew just what she wanted to do: she wanted to meet the twin actors in person! “There was no doubt,” said Andrea of her daughter’s wish pick. “It’s on her daily agenda to watch those boys on T.V. Her room is plastered with their posters!”
Alexandria’s Kids Wish Network wish coordinator, Lora, immediately got to work making her dream come true. She secured airline tickets to L.A., arranged for hotel accommodations and fun activities in the area, and most importantly, arranged for a meet and greet with Dylan and Cole.
Alexandria’s adventure to meet her idols began soon after arriving in California. She started her trip off with a visit to Disneyland and later enjoyed visiting California Adventure Park. “That was really great,” said Andrea. “It had a Bug’s Land and some kiddie rides. It was pretty cool!” Alexandria and her family also visited Grauman’s Chinese Theater to see the footprints and handprints of some Hollywood stars. They enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset Boulevard.
The big day finally arrived. Alexandria and her family were picked up in a leopard print limousine, courtesy of Advanced Limousine. “It was perfect,” said Angela who noted that Alexandria and her sister are huge fans of the Cheetah Girls. The limousine ferried the group to Universal City Walk where Alexandria would meet the boys during a group meet and greet. She was overwhelmed.
“It was great,” said Andrea of Alexandria’s wish experience. During the meet and greet, Dylan and Cole mugged for the cameras and chatted with their young fans, posing for pictures and signing autographs. They answered questions and Alexandria even got brave enough to ask one of her own, inquiring if the boys were anything like their characters on television. Answer: yes. She then presented them with a picture she drew and gave each boy a Kids Wish Network Guardian Angel coin for good luck.
Later, all of the kids headed to the arcade where they played games together and took more pictures. After it was over, an elated Alexandria hung out at Universal Studios with her family, all the while playing the afternoon over and over again in her head.
Angela said that the trip was one her special daughter will never forget. “She had a really, really good time. When we got home she said, ‘Mom, now I’m even more in love than I was before!’” Since she’s been home, Alexandria has been pouring over the pictures and watching the video tape of the wish. “All of her friends are stopping over now to find out how everything went. It was all just great!”
Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following for helping to make Alexandria’s wish extra special: Advance Limousine, Disneyland Community Relations, Dylan and Cole Sprouse and Dualstar Entertainment Group, Hard Rock CafĂ©, Hertz, Mondrian Hotel, Saddle Ranch Chop House, and Universal Studios.
